Patti & Troy Hopkins - Owners
Troy and Patti Hopkins fell in love with the lake when they moved to Lake Guntersville from Huntsville in 2019 and remodeled a house for their forever home. While enjoying a quiet walk in December of 2021, Troy discovered the abandoned home place, totally engulfed with trees and weeds where ReTreet now resides. In January of 2022 the Hopkins purchased the beautiful 40 acres and Retreet was started. From inspiration of previous travels, and input from their daughters, they started with the first phase, the treehouses and the main common space. After seeing the joy and relaxation of guests and consistent bookings, they started in January of 2023 building the Glamping Tents and Tiny Cottages, along with Pine Point and the Tree Spa.
As college sweethearts who met at the University of Tennessee, they have three daughters, Shelby, Kelsey, and Kirby. Troy is a business entrepreneur, and Patti is a Registered Nurse. Together they coach the management team to provide the best vacation experience for all guests and have goals to provide enjoyment, friendships, rest, and relaxation while enjoying the natural beauty surrounding ReTreet.
